The Agent Toolkit is built on four foundational components. First, Nemotron: a family of open-source large language models optimized for agentic workflows, including reasoning, planning, and tool use. Second, AI-Q: a blueprint and reference system for enterprise AI adoption, providing templates and best practices accumulated from working with thousands of enterprises. Third, OpenShell: a security sandboxing system that allows AI agents to operate safely within enterprise environments. Fourth, cuOpt: an optimization engine for complex resource allocation and scheduling problems.

The use cases being targeted are substantial. In semiconductor design, companies like Cadence and Synopsys are using agent systems to automate parts of the chip design verification process?? traditionally human-intensive workflow. In healthcare, IQVIA is deploying agents to accelerate clinical trial data analysis and patient recruitment.
